REJOICE WITH OTHERS

Rejoicing with others is one of the most difficult things to do especially when what is being rejoiced about is what you really need at that point, but it doesn't seems coming forth. 

Just imagine you and your friends wrote an examination, and you are the only one that didn't pass. What would be your reaction? Would you find it easy to take joy in the success of your friends?

Some other time, you might even pretend to be joyful, but you are actually bittered within. Then, you will start questioning God - What have I done to deserve this? Is this the best way to reward me ? Am I not serving You? Does he/she has two heads? Why am l always unfortunate with You? 

How can I forget this popular phrase? "God when?" As much as this phrase is used most of the time to hype others that have gotten what you want, some do take it to heart.  They would seem to joke about it, but deep down, they are indeed troubled. They would ask God -  my friend has gotten this, when will I get mine? 

Meanwhile, all this is the beginning of loosing one's peace of mind. When you find it difficult to be joyful, then you are in for the opposite. Some will even go to the extreme by spreading rumours and lies about those who succeed around them. This is very common among youths. A good example; someone close to you is getting married, and you don't even have a fiancee/fiance much less of marriage. So, the next thing you can think of is to start spreading rumours of infidelity or other bad act. Does it really count? Will that make you also get whatever you want? Most times, it always hinders getting one's blessings too.

Hence, there is a need to find joy in the joy of others. As said earlier, it is a very difficult task, therefore, it requires learning everyday for it to become easier.
You need to understand that for your neighbour to succeed, then there is a high tendency that you too can. Do not forget that God can never run out of blessings. For God to bless others does not mean He is not ready to bless you too. There is this saying that when God bless your neighbour, it means that He is in your neighborhood. It is an assurance that indeed your time is coming.

Also, do well to encourage others on their achievements. For instance, if your colleague just get promoted, you can as well encourage them that this is the time to do even better. In doing this, you are also rejoicing with them. You never know whether their success will pave way for yours also.

Therefore, stop counting the blessings of others, count yours instead. You will definitely see how far you have gone in achieving success.

Choose to rejoice in others' goodness, and watch out for what is in store for you.

CUT YOUR COAT ACCORDING TO YOUR CLOTH

There was an event that brought about this topic. On a sunny afternoon, I heard someone shouting in a shop. It was a voice of a woman. The shout was that of a profuse cry. Then, I listened carefully so as to be sure of what the cry was all about. She started mumbling words in-between her cry. These words were mixture of regrets and curses; "If I had known, I wouldn't have brought my phone here to charge. The person that stole my phone will never know peace..." She was raining so much curses that I can't even write here.  By this time, people had already move closer to her to ask what exactly the problem was. After listening to her story, they all started reacting either by comforting her or by raining more curses on the theif. Kindly read the topic again. You've done that, right? Okay, that's good. To everyone that is diligently working either as a student, an apprentice, a teacher, civil servant, trader, entrepreneur, or be it any (legal) job or work, I salute you. If you are not working, this article is not for you because a person that is not working should not eat in the first place. Meanwhile, kindly see this as a means to encourage you to start doing one thing or the other (legal). Yes, it is very good to be hardworking.
