ARE YOU LIVING TO IMPRESS?

Why will you be living your OWN life to impress others?

Why are you living against your will in order to please others?

Are you maintaining a false image?

Do you always neglect your goals so that you can be acceptable by people?

The only thing wrong with trying to please everyone is that there's always at least one person who will remain unhappy. That is YOU.

There are some people that spend above their earnings just to feel among. They have allow themselves to be caught up in people's thoughts about them. 

This happens especially in dressing. You have to admire yourself first after dressing. Let everything in you be satisfy with your dressing. Even when you are happy with the way you dress, some people will still see you and pass wrong comments.  I know we all have that one person that no matter how well you have dressed, he/she will still have something to adjust. Is that the person you will continue troubling yourself to impress?

Some people will go extra mile to buy things such as cars, phones, houses and other material things so that others can say "your head is there". It's not that having all these things are bad but from the depth of your heart, what is the reason behind the buyings? Is it to make people notice you? Are you financially bouyant to buy all these or are you hurting yourself in buying them?

The funniest thing (maybe not funny) is that the person you are trying to please may not even notice you. He/she may just feel like it's a normal thing and will not commend you. So, you that you are expecting good comment from them will be the one to be troubled.

Has it ever happened to you before? Maybe you just plait your hair and you are doing all you can so that people can admire and say beautiful things about it. Then boom! No one is saying anything or if anyone noticed, they just say, "you have made your hair". At that point you will be like, "does this hair fit me at all?".
I quite understand that everybody needs to be appreciated but why don't you appreciate yourself first before others do so?


Unfortunately, some of the people that are involved in bad deeds today do so because they don't want to be left out among their peers. Many of us have done somethings (it may even be good) against our will.

This impressing of people even goes beyond material things to spiritual things.  Do you know that some people pray and fast so that they can impress or please others? There are some that all their religion practices are for people to see them as being religious.

Stop living your life so that others can notice you; it will only end in unhappiness. The fact is that you can never please or satisfy everybody.

Stop during things base on what people might say, rather do it because you want to. Your happiness also lies in what you love to do.

Manage what you have and BE CONTENTED.

Work on yourself to bring out the best in you.

CUT YOUR COAT ACCORDING TO YOUR CLOTH

There was an event that brought about this topic. On a sunny afternoon, I heard someone shouting in a shop. It was a voice of a woman. The shout was that of a profuse cry. Then, I listened carefully so as to be sure of what the cry was all about. She started mumbling words in-between her cry. These words were mixture of regrets and curses; "If I had known, I wouldn't have brought my phone here to charge. The person that stole my phone will never know peace..." She was raining so much curses that I can't even write here.  By this time, people had already move closer to her to ask what exactly the problem was. After listening to her story, they all started reacting either by comforting her or by raining more curses on the theif. Kindly read the topic again. You've done that, right? Okay, that's good. To everyone that is diligently working either as a student, an apprentice, a teacher, civil servant, trader, entrepreneur, or be it any (legal) job or work, I salute you. If you are not working, this article is not for you because a person that is not working should not eat in the first place. Meanwhile, kindly see this as a means to encourage you to start doing one thing or the other (legal). Yes, it is very good to be hardworking.
